Experience

BenchSci | Toronto, ON (Remote)

An AI drug discovery company helping research scientists at global pharmaceutical and biotech organizations accelerate preclinical research.

Senior Product Marketing Manager

Feb 2026 — May 2026

Drove GTM strategy through a pivotal commercial inflection, spanning a multi-segment market expansion, the positioning of a next-generation AI SaaS platform, and the packaging of a new partner-distributed free tier.

  • Owned platform positioning across three phases of the product's commercial evolution: the founding narrative for large enterprise customers, expansion to four segments under a single unifying problem frame, and positioning a next-gen product into existing accounts.
  • Built a Customer Value Framework that became the go-to-market team's shared definition of what customers decide and when, improving how internal teams prepared for and ran customer conversations.
  • Defined the packaging boundary between a free, partner-distributed product and the paid enterprise platform, specifying which capabilities and levels of data access each tier could expose so the free offering drove acquisition without eroding paid licence value.
  • Established a messaging discipline that tied every primary claim to a shipped capability and flagged roadmap language explicitly as direction rather than promise, protecting credibility in sales conversations, QBRs, and executive briefings during a period of rapid product change.
  • Built the first-run onboarding guide for the free tier's initial user cohort, structuring it around core use cases with worked examples and explicit scope limitations to shorten time-to-first-value and set accurate expectations early.

Product Marketing Manager, Platform Solutions

May 2023 — Jan 2026

Built the strategic frameworks and GTM infrastructure underpinning commercial execution across scientifically sophisticated, multi-segment enterprise buyers.

  • Built a foundational product positioning document designed for both human and AI-assisted use, enabling account teams to align talk tracks, messaging, and value propositions with core differentiators at scale.
  • Synthesized customer insights from account opportunity briefs and cross-functional deep dive sessions using AI-assisted analysis; identified strategy deltas, friction points, and key win criteria to inform real-time GTM pivots across all account types and markets.
  • Contributed ICP and persona frameworks that enabled mid-market expansion into pharma and biotech, establishing 4 pilots within 4–6 months; supported accounts through strategic thought partnership, talk track audits, and objection handling built on intelligence from earlier accounts.
  • Built scalable GTM infrastructure: a dedicated knowledge center, competitive intelligence library, differentiator slides, and an anonymized customer use case library.

Scientific Support Specialist (Technical Application Scientist)

Feb 2022 — May 2023

Served as the scientific and educational bridge between a complex AI platform and a global customer base spanning academic researchers to large enterprise pharma, with work directly shaping product positioning.

  • Delivered doctoral-level scientific workflow consultation as the highest-value tier of support, advising researchers on structuring platform queries against specific experimental questions and sustaining a world-class team NPS of 90.
  • Supported delivery of the company's first scientist-driven research feasibility reports for a top-20 pharma account, assessing potential approaches for an active research programme.
  • Built the scientific enablement multi-media function from scratch: authored the video production playbook and SOP that became the team standard, produced tutorial content for in-app onboarding, and contributed to 50+ knowledge base articles.

Scientific Liaison

Jun 2021 — Jan 2022

Scientific lead and product expert for five global pharmaceutical accounts spanning 6–8 figure enterprise deals, embedded at the intersection of customer value delivery, sales support, and GTM intelligence.

  • Rescued renewal of a top-10 ARR account by conducting 1:1 interviews with 5 product champions to surface project-level success stories, translating scientist workflows and experimental outcomes into executive-facing impact narratives; the account renewed, the methodology was formally adopted into the team's retention playbook, and the approach was built into the pilot playbook as a proof-of-value motion.
  • Built a shared demo library on transition out of the role — cataloguing 15+ vetted product workflows across 7 therapeutic areas, tagged by target department and featured platform capabilities so liaisons could mix-and-match click-through flows for any audience without starting from scratch; adopted by the full scientific liaison team.

Served as the final editorial authority on all external communications from the Minister's office, including press statements, government initiative documentation, and public correspondence, across a department spanning 6 branches and 450+ employees.

  • Held final sign-off on press releases, reviewing all communications to ensure the Minister's position was accurately and consistently reflected before public release; liaised directly with the Associate Deputy Minister and divisional Executive Directors to resolve issues before they escalated.
  • Reviewed Freedom of Information Act requests ahead of release to brief the Minister on content requiring her awareness, and triaged inbound public correspondence to route inquiries to the appropriate departmental representative or flag directly for ministerial action.
  • Prepared the Minister to speak confidently on all outgoing communications by catching off-message drift early and anticipating lines of media or public pushback before they materialized.
